Optomap®

Digital Retinal Imaging

Optomap Digital Retinal Imaging allows us to record a digital wide-angle view of the retina. The scan becomes a permanent part of your medical file, enabling us to make important comparisons should potential vision or life-threatening conditions show at a future examination. Although it is similar to the digital retinal photography system we have had, it reduces the need for annual dilated examinations for certain qualified patients. We recommend this for all of our patients.

The Benefits of optomap:

  • Allows a view of your retina quickly and in a noninvasive manner.
  • Ideal for adults and children who have difficulty with dilation.
  • Can detect early signs of eye disease such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
  • Reduce the need for annual dilated examinations for certain qualified patient

Optovue

SD-OCT Retinal Imaging

Optovue SD-OCT Retinal Imaging is a quick, safe, and painless procedure that obtains an image of the inner eye. Similar to a CT or MRI scan but using visible light, this amazing technology allows us to see beneath the surface of the retina and detect changes invisible to standard examination. OCT scans are useful for the early detection of eye abnormalities and disease which is important for timely treatment. This has been the most significant advance in ocular disease detection in many years!

Digital Retinal Photography

We offer digital photography of anterior and posterior segments of the eye. It is ideal for monitoring any ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. The process is painless because nothing touches the eyes and it takes less than 3-4 minutes to complete.
